Supply Chain Assessment 2010 - 2013 examines how capacity investments by wind turbine manufacturers to meet supply shortages have rapidly scaled up both the megawatt output and geographic reach of manufacturing in the past four years. But the drop in demand brought on by the global financial crisis means that component supply capacity has reached a level where there may again be fierce competition to provide components and key-material to turbine makers.

A special research of the supply for the Offshore Wind Power segment is accomplished, including key components and "balance of plant" supplies (Installation equipment etc.). In addition, this report also reviewed those new trends, which may have an impact on the future supply pattern. Among these the entrance and growing interest of Direct-Drive WTG concept are reviewed.
