This is the BTM’s first Supply Chain Assessment analyzing the present and future MW capacity among the leading suppliers of casting, blades, gearboxes, generators etc. The 40 pages report containing more than 20 tables and graphs analyzes the constraint in the main component suppliers in one of the worlds fastest growing industries.

Key conclusions:

• On the negative side, supply constraints are being created by lack of production capacity further down the supply chain. The main bottlenecks occur mainly for the supply of gearboxes, large bearings, cast iron and forged items.
• On the positive side, efforts are being made to cope with rapidly increasing demand by both the wind turbine suppliers and their sub-suppliers, who can see a robust and steadily growing market stretching some way ahead.
